Abha is the scenic capital of the Aseer region in south-western Saudi Arabia.  It is a major urban center forming a large metropolitan area that also includes Khamis Mushayt and Ahad Rafidah. It sits 2,200 meters above sea level in the fertile Sarawat Mountains, the country’s highest and longest mountain range.

Abha, home to King Khalid University Stadium, will be easily accessible to reach from Abha International Airport, through multiple high-capacity bus routes. The city is developing a comprehensive transport network, focused on public transit, micro-mobility, walkability and accessibility; that will help your visit to the proposed FIFA Fan Festival™ Sites, Al Bihar Square and Al Dhabab Park.

This existing stadium is located in the south-east of Abha. Capacity will be expanded to more than 45,000 for the FIFA World Cup 2034™, with refurbishment focusing on modernizing the infrastructure while respecting the stadium’s historical context.
